A Space Where You Can Receive the Care You Offer Others

Hello, I'm Rosanna

As a Registered Social Worker, I support therapists and helping professionals navigate emotional fatigue, vicarious trauma, life stressors, and the personal impact of caring for others.

Working in a helping role requires you to remain emotionally present and cognitively sharp while holding complex or traumatic experiences. Over time, this client material can stay with you, leaving you feeling depleted, overwhelmed, or disconnected. It can also be difficult to seek care when you are accustomed to being the provider, or when you feel pressure to manage everything independently.

My role is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can step outside your professional identity, process your own experiences, and reconnect with your sense of strength and empowerment. At HWP, I offer a collaborative, trauma-informed approach drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Reality Therapy, with day and evening appointments available.

You deserve the same compassion, safety, and support that you offer others. Please let me know if you would like to discuss how we can work together.

In our work together, clients experience me as

Supportive · Grounded · Empowering · Collaborative

My therapeutic approach

My work is rooted in holistic, trauma-informed care and emphasizes safety, understanding, collaboration, and empowerment.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Together, we may explore the thoughts, emotional responses, personal experiences, and professional pressures contributing to what you are carrying.

CBT can help identify patterns such as over-responsibility, perfectionism, self-doubt, or the belief that you should be able to handle everything on your own. Trauma-Focused CBT and EMDR may support the processing of unresolved experiences, vicarious trauma, or personal material that has become activated through your work.

I strongly believe that knowledge is power. Understanding what you are experiencing can reduce shame, create greater clarity, and help you develop practical strategies for navigating both personal and professional stressors.
Our work remains collaborative and proceeds at a pace that respects your capacity.

Working with me, you would learn to:

  • Recognize signs of emotional fatigue and vicarious trauma
  • Process difficult client material that continues affecting you outside of work
  • Understand when professional experiences are activating your personal history
  • Distinguish what belongs to you from what you may be carrying for others
  • Develop practical tools for managing stress and emotional triggers
  • Challenge patterns of perfectionism, self-doubt, or over-responsibility
  • Strengthen boundaries between your professional and personal roles
  • Rebuild a sense of safety, resilience, and personal empowerment
  • Reconnect with your identity and needs outside of helping others
  • Move forward with greater clarity and confidence

How my work fits into whole-person care at HWP

The emotional demands of helping work can affect more than your professional confidence. They may influence your nervous system, physical energy, sleep, relationships, routines, identity, and ability to remain present in your own life.

At HWP, counselling is part of a broader network of care. When appropriate, I can collaborate with other practitioners so that emotional healing is supported alongside services such as coaching, nutrition, movement, or other wellness practices.

This whole-person approach recognizes that supporting your professional sustainability also means caring for you as a person, including your body, relationships, personal experiences, and life beyond your helping role.

Availability

Mondays and Thursdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PT
Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. PT

Fun facts

During my time away from work, you will find me outside hiking and exploring with my two dogs, no matter the weather.

You deserve the same compassion, safety, and support that you offer others. This is a space where you can set down your professional role, process what you have been carrying, and reconnect with yourself.
