How do I get a referral to work with your organisation?

You would need to call your EAP company and request them to send your referral to us. Most of the EAPs in Canada are already associated with us. All you would need to do is provide our corporate name to them: Health and Wellness Professionals Corporation.

Can you help me get a referral from my EAP?

Please contact us so that we can guide you on how to get a referral. If you are eligible for EAP benefits, we can get on a 3-way call with you and your EAP and request a referral.  

I already have a referral from my EAP, how do I book my first appointment?

You can contact us and we will book your first appointment within 3 to 5 business days after confirmation of the referral from your EAP.

Are your services confidential?

Our services are confidential and within the scope of EAP services. For self-referred clients, your information will be held between your counsellor and the EAP clinical team. If an employee is referred by an employer or mandated for counselling, there could be limits to confidentiality. Please speak with your employer, EAP, and counselor to get more clarification.

Can I meet the counsellor with my family?

If your benefits plan covers your family members, you can request your EAP to include them on the counselling referral.

Do I need to pay for EAP services?

EAP services are covered by your employer, and you do not have to pay for counselling.

How long will it take me to get the first appointment?

The first appointment is offered within 3 to 5 business days from the time we receive the referral and establish contact with you.

Do you report to my employer?

For self-referred clients, we do not report to the employer.

Can I choose my own counsellor?

You are matched with your counsellor based on your counselling needs and the counsellor's expertise. If you have any specific requirements for your counsellor, please let your EAP and our office know.
